America's milk-fed veal farmers are proud of the wholesome, heart healthy veal products that they produce for consumers. Our website provides information on veal production practices, industry facts, a tour of a modern veal barn and educational materials.
Our veal quality assurance (VQA) committee, funded in part through the National Beef Checkoff, works to ensure superior standards of animal husbandry through our own certification program. In addition, the veal issues management (VIM) committee, funded in part through the National Beef Checkoff, collaborates with scientific experts to educate consumers about the exceptional individual care veal calves receive on small family farms. As if it were not enough, veal is an excellent source of protein and a good source of niacin, zinc and vitamin B12.
